Cheras (Taman Mutiara, Taman Connaught): RM1,200-1,800 for decent furnished studio/1BR condos. MRT access now much better.
Kepong (Metro Prima, Desa Aman): RM1,000-1,600. Quiet, easy highway access, underrated.
Pandan Jaya/Pandan Perdana: RM1,100-1,700. Great for families, older condos but spacious.
Sri Petaling: RM1,300-1,900. MRT + close to malls. Slightly pricier but worth it.
Avoided: Mont Kiara (RM3k+), KLCC (RM2.5k+), Bangsar (RM2.2k+).
