Vinyl plank (LVP/SPC):
✅ Waterproof, durable, easy to clean
✅ Works well in humid Malaysian climate
✅ Good price range RM8-25/sqft installed
❌ Can feel hollow underfoot in cheaper options
Tile:
✅ Most durable, ideal for wet areas
✅ Cool to touch in hot weather
❌ Hard on feet, cold with aircon
❌ Grout maintenance
Laminate:
✅ Wood-like appearance, affordable
❌ NOT waterproof — swells in humidity
❌ Not ideal for Malaysia
My conclusion: SPC vinyl plank for bedrooms/living, tile for kitchen/bathrooms.

Don't install vinyl flooring over uneven cement!
Common mistake I see: Homeowners buying cheap vinyl from Shopee and sticking it directly on raw cement. After 3 months, it will warp and pop. You NEED a proper self-leveling compound first.
